The Boys' Tale was an in-joke. We are both
fans of the theory that King Richard III was by no means the "bottled
spider" as depicted for centuries. So it was fun to play with other
fans of that theory, slowly revealing who the two boys were -- one would
grow up to father Henry VII, the man who overthrew Richard in 1485 at Bosworth
Field. The boys' mother was the dowager Queen, their father a nobody named
Tidder, or Tydor, sometimes spelled Tudor.
